You are a foot short

The next few weeks will see that last remaining ties, opens, friendlies and bounce games played as the 2010 season comes to an end. I hope you have enjoyed your bowling and have enjoyed my attempts at trying to keep you up to date with results from the Park and beyond. I say try because this year has been disappointing in the sense of information supplied by the G&D. I would understand this if the results etc were published in the local press, but I hav'nt seen any league info etc in the tele!  Have you?  

Anyway!  I would like to thank everyone who has contributed this year to the info on the site- John Freeburn for his RBA stuff and other bits and bobs of info, Eck for his text results service, Wellington Park for being able to at least find out all the 1st division league results that I didnt have, and for giving me the pleasure of reading about bowling in this area, same goes for Ardgowan's website. Thanks also to those you used the forms,facebook etc to give me results etc and finally to you! yes you for coming to this site on a regular basis, which in turn makes it all worthwhile.

Will not be able to make it along to compile a report this Sunday, so my apologies in advance for this, hopefully someone from the Club will do the honours?  Good luck to all the players involved and I hope you enjoy your day.

Saturday 14th August, working on the report for last nights excellent championship final and it should be on later today.  I am kinda behind on a few reports and I will see to this asap.  Starting next week I will be covering the Hillend Pairs League, which will run for around 8 weeks.  Today is G&D Championship start day, with games throughout the district. Good luck to all concerned.

Ok folks, following on from my earlier Footie scores prediction competition. There is still no sign of the BBC's game, so for now I am sticking with the CB banks one!  SO!  Do you wanna try and be the best pundit?  Think you can guess the scores better than me or another Mr Bradley?    Then send me an email (gary@gourockpark.com) and I will send you the details.  Theres £10,000 top prize!  

OH and last year the Gourock Park mini-league was won by a Woman!!!
