Winning leagues is all about getting more points than anyone else and this year Victoria did just that! They were without a doubt the most consistent Club throughout the campaign and therefore are worthy Champions.

Runners up (AGAIN) were Gourock Park, they started of strongly and were many peoples tip for the title, in fact they could and should have won it on the last day at Ardgowan  but inexperience, nerves, expectations and/or simply poor bowling on the night all contributed to their hopes being silenced on the 5 rink Green of The Ardgowan Club.

2010 Champs, Grosvenor finished in third place, a disappointing season for the Men from Dempster Street

Wellington were probably the biggest surprise of 2011!   A surprise that they were so bad early on in the Season, three weeks in and their hopes of re-capturing the title they won in 2009 were well and truly gone.  They did however rally and finished strongly and will be once again strong contenders next time.

There was a time when Port Glasgow used to have a stranglehold of the league flag, but they now have not tasted league success since 2007. They had a bad start and despite a strong finish, a last day defeat to Victoria, saw them drop to fourth place.

Hillend won the Triples League and this is their second time winning this, so well done to them. The two Rankin Park Teams and Inverkip made them fight all the way for their title and its certainly a competitive format.

So thats that for another year, I hope you all enjoyed your bowling and I just want to finish by saying thanks to the G&D for their speed in which results were submitted.
